I’m sure Uncle Roger would have a thing or two to say about me swapping rice for beans, but my Bean Goreng tastes just like the OG …and at least there’s no chilli jam. Just like Nasi Goreng, my Indonesian fried beans are sweet, salty, spicy, and 100 umami. Ready in 20–30 minutes, perfect for a midweek meal, and even better the next day for lunch.
